we
often
celebrate
diversity,
yet
the
reality
is
that

struggle

We
place
people
in
categories
based
on
their
race,
ethnicity,
religion,
sexual
orientation,
and
other
defining
factors,
and
we
forget
that
each
individual
is
a
unique
combination
of
various
identities
and
experiences. Myriad

my
attempt
to
reflect
on
the
beauty
of
diversity
and
the
need
for
us
to
embrace
it
fully.
As
a
writer
and
advocate
for
social
justice,
I
have
come
to
appreciate
the
richness
that
comes
from
the
presence
of
difference.
Diversity
is
not
a
weakness;
it
is
a
strength
that
empowers
us
to
bring
our

the
table
and

the

way. One
of
the
ways
in
which
we
can
embrace

is
by
acknowledging
and
celebrating
the

Each

has

lens

to

perspectives,
we
can
gain
a
deeper
understanding
of
the

in
which
we
can
embrace
diversity
is
by
recognizing
that
